1a: Hoy Ching in apple green, double breasted and tied on the side, long water sleeves with a white end piece ( this ending piece is about 13 inches) elaborate embroidery on front and back sides of the costume. Embroidery in patterns of orchid flowers and leaves, made out of sequins in white, silver and lavendar blue. Hoy Ching is men's costume usually worn by scholars.
1b: bib with two thin strings in apple green and white, silver and lavendar blue sequins. Stains on top back and front of the bib.
1c: Possibly a Jaat Gun Hat. Also in apple green with same color sequin embroidery., 12 decorative sequin flowers top of the hat, a plate and a tail attached to the plate. (With the Hoy Ching the whole set could be a Mun Goon Po outfit.) |

This turquoise color set has a short top with extra wide water sleeves. The embroidery was made with vividly colored sequins, a combination of gold, silver, pink, red, blue, champagne. There are embroideries of grape pattern, and patterns suggesting butterflies. There are two pieces of wrap up skirts with identical embroidery. Similar patterns and colors of embroideries are shown on all five pieces of accessories. All five pieces of accessory are fully decorated with sequins . The scalloped shaped accessory and the one with four long bands show a butterfly embroidery. |

C: Skirt-Pleated pink satin skirt with a white linen waistband. 2 tie closures, one on each side. 42"L x 16"W.
D&E: Gauze aprons-Each is comprised of one wider panel and 2 narrow panels of white guaze with silver and white sequins, attached to a white linen waistand that has tie closures. Each panel is edged in silver sequins. 41.5"L x 10"W (tied closed).
F&G: Slippers (Ts'ai Hsieh)-2 pink satin slippers with silver sequin designs on the sides. Each slipper has a pink tassel attached to the top, covering the toe. 9"L x 3"W. |

Bright red satin gown with a gold geometric border on the sides and white water sleeves (Shui Hsiu). The yoke is embroidered with gold geometric patterns and a flower motif in blues, green, and yellow. the center is embroidered, both front and back, with a flying bird in greens, gold, pinks, purples, blues, white, and gray. It is surrounded by a gold border of geometric shapes. Two tie closures, one at the neck and one on the side. Inside is lined in cream colored linen on the top half and light blue satin on the bottom half.

Jacket, bib, collar, cape, girdle, belt, pants, skirt, apron, and boots.
A: Jacket-Pink satin body. Sleeves are tiered pink satin with a guaze overlay embroidered with pink, white, and silver sequins. The top two tiers are sewn onto the sleeve and some stitching is loose. The sleeves are tight at the wrist, have a snap closure as well as hook closures, and have a scalloped piece attached that is also embroidered with sequins. All three tiers have a dragon embroidered in pink sequins with blue sequin eyes. Each tier has a border in white and silver sequins. Dimensions: 24"L x 64.5"W (sleeve to sleeve).
B: Bib-Pink satin with a guaze overlay embroidered with pink, white, and silver sequins. The front is a single panel with a dragn in the center made of pink sequins. The collar is embroidered with silver and white sequins, which is echoed down the sides. The back splits into two panels with snap closures. There is also a dragon on the back made of pink sequins and silver and white sequin borders on the collar and sides. Lined in cream colored linen. The front panel has a tear in the gauze. Dimensions: 23"L x 19.5"W (at shoulders).
C: Collar-Pink satin with a guaze overlay embroidered with pink, white, and silver sequins. The neck is has a border of silver and white sequins. The bottom has a scallop edge with a white and silver sequin border. Ties in the back, lined in cream colored linen. Dimensions: 14.5"W x 9.5" L.
D: Cape-Pink satin with guaze overlay embroidered with pink, silver, and white sequins. Has a border of white and silver sequins and cream colored linen ties. Heavy sweat stains at the top. Dimensions: 14"L x 12.5"W.
E: Girdle-Pink satin with a guaze overlay embroidered with silver, white, and pink sequins. Lining is also pink satin and it has cream colored linen ties. Scalloped edges with a silver and white sequin border. The belt probably ties over this. Dimensions: 30"W x 15"L.
F: Belt-Pink satin with a guaze overlay embroidered with silver and white sequins in the center and as a border. An addition was added, reinforced with yarn. Addition is also pink satin with a guaze overlay embroidered with silver and pink sequins. Hooks were added as a closure. Lined in cream colored linen, has and written Chinese characters. Dimensions: 49"L x 3"W total, original is 36"L and addition is 16"L x 2.5"W, overlapping the original piece.
G: Pants-Pink satin with a guaze overlay embroidered with pink, white, and silver sequins. Attached to a cream colored linen waistband, has elastic pant legs, and staining on the middle. Sequin designs are in the middle of the pant legs, starting on the front and wrapping around. Dimensions: 47"L x 27"W (at waistband).
H: Skirt-3 panels of pink satin with guaze overlay embroidered with pink, silver, and white sequins, attached to a cream colored linen waistband with ties. Each of the three panels is tiered with scalloped edges. Each tier has a white and silver border with a pink dragon in the center with blue eyes (6 dragons total). Each panel is lined in cream colored linen. Dimensions: 40.5"L x 51"W.
I: Apron-Pink satin with guaze overlay embroidered with pink, white, and silve sequins. Two tiers attached to a cream colored waistband, lined in cream colored linen, and has linen ties. Each tier has a scallop edge and is has a border in white and silver sequins, with a pink dragon in the center with blue eyes. The bottom tier has a tassel attached. Dimensions: 42"L (including tassel) x 16.5"W.
J&K: Boots-Pink satin boots with a guaze overlay embroidered with pink, white, and silver sequins. Has white linen ties. Left boot has stains on the upper portion of the boot. Bottom of boots have a pebble like surface. Dimensions: 10"L x 14"H x 3" W. |

Light teal satin sleeves are attached, 4 tiers of heavily embroidered satin with teal and green sequins and gold beads in a floral and geometric motif, edged in white rabbit fur. The sleeve narrows at the wrist and has 3 snap closures. Dimensions: 20"L (shoulder to hem) x 61"W (sleeve to sleeve).
B: Cropped Jacket-Light teal satin lined in white linen with 6 snap closures. The sleeves are heavily embroidered on the edges with teal sequins and gold beads in a flower motif. They are large and butterfly shaped, and the arm openings are edged in white rabbit fur. The back has a white linen panel sewn into the middle, jacket is longer in the front than the back. Dimensions: 20.25"L (collar to hem, front), 16.5"L (collar to hem, back) x 77"W (sleeve hem to sleeve hem). Sleeves are 28"W at the widest point.
C: Bib-Light teal satin heavily embroidered with green and teal sequins and gold beads in a floral and geometric motif. The front has two panels that connect with 7 snap closures. The pattern continues on the back with one single flap. The edges on both sides are edged in white rabbit fur. The pattern continues onto the shoulders, which are tiered and also edged in white rabbit fur. 2 halves of a snap closure on the back. Small stain that looks like a burn mark on the back. Rabbit fur is becoming detached on the shoulder. Dimensions: 23"L (shoulder to hem, front), 20"L (shoulder to hem, back) x 26.5"W (shoulder to shoulder).
D: Collar-Light teal satin edged in white rabbit fur. Heavily embroidered with teal and green sequins and gold beads. Lined in light teal satin with a satin tie and a snap closure. Dimensions: 13.5"L x 18.5"W.
E: Cape-Light teal satin edged in white rabbit fur, heavily embroidered with teal sequins and gold beads. Cream colored linen ties, lined in light teal satin, heavy staining on back. Dimensions: 16"L x 15" W.
F: Girdle-Light teal satin edged in white rabbit fur. Embroidered with teal and green sequins and gold beads. Scalloped edges, back is lined in light teal satin, includes white linen ties. Dimensions: 34"W x 17"L.
G: Belt-Light teal satin edged in white rabit fur. Teal sequins and gold beads form a geometric pattern. Backing is white linen, has a hook closure. Dimensions: 33"L x 4"W.
H: Belt-Light teal satin edged in white rabbit fur. Teal and green sequins and gold beads form a flower like design. White linen backing with a 2 hook closure. Dimensions: 32.5"L x 4.5"W.
I: Belt-Light green gauze embroidered with gold beads and silver, green, and teal sequins forming horizontal lines. Back lining is white linen, no closures. Dimensions: 30"L x 2.5"W.
J: Skirt-Light teal satin attached to a wide white linen waistbad with white linen ties. The skirt is pleated and near the bottom is embroidered with teal sequins and gold beads in a flower motif. The bottom hem is embroidered with a teal sequin and gold bead border. Dimensions: 42"L x 34"W (at waistband), 77"W (at hem, untied and laid flat).
K: Skirt Panels: 2 panels of light teal satin heavily embroidered with teal and green sequins and gold beads in a floral and geometric motif. Each panel is tierd and edged in white rabbit fur. The panels are attached to a white linen waistband and have white linen ties. Dimensions (each panel): 41"L x 20.5"W.
L: Apron-Light teal satin heavily embroidered with teal and green sequins and gold beads in a floral and geometric motif. 2 tiers, edged in white rabbit fur, white linen waistband with ties, heavy staining on the back. Dimensions: 41.5"L x 19"W.

B: Cropped Jacket-Light yellow satin with a white lining (maybe chiffon?) and 5 snap closures. Large flowing sleeves in a butterfly shape embroidered with floral motifs at the edges in gold and silver sequins and gold beads. Border at the hem of a single row of beads and then a single row of sequins. Dimensions: 19"L x 78"W (sleeve to sleeve). Sleeve is 28"L at longest point.
C: Girdle-Light yellow satin heavily embroidered with silver and gold sequins and gold beads in a floral and geometric motif. Scalloped edges with thick sequin borders. The back center is reinforced with beige linen and has linen ties attached as well as 2 snap closures. Dimensions: 16.25"L x 33"W.
D: Belt-Light yellow satin embroidered with silver and gold sequins and gold beads in a flower motif. The belt is bordered in a row of gold beads and then a row of sequins. There are 2 hook closures and the belt is lined in beige linen. Dimensions: 34.5"L x 3.5"W.
E: Skirt Panels-3 panels of light yellow satin attached to a beige linen waistabnd with ties. Each panel is 2 tiered and heavily embroidered with silver and gold sequins and gold beads in a floral and geometric motif. Scalloped edges with heavily sequined borders. Matches apron below. Dimensions: 28"W (at waistband) x 39"L (each panel).
