Abstract
Watercolour Painting entitled "Guarded" Hazy depiction of a guard tower with a man standing up on the left holding a rifle upright and a large knob shape in the middle behind a railing. Birds are circling in the air. Transparent and glazing with semi-transparent medium on heavy watercolour paper. Olive green to dark brown, indigo and burnt sienna. The tower appears as a silhouette, the glazing adds depth and the all over bird motif gives the impression of a collage. The artist has signed the back in pencil with the title, his name, and date with a copyright symbol, "'Guarded', Lee J. Wexler, 1977 c" and the front in pencil with his name and date. The painting was originally framed in black plastic frame with acrylic.
