Watercolour Painting entitled "Serving Our Country" Depicts a woman standing holding a banner in her hands. Her dress is greenish brown, pinkish skin, blue framed banner with 3 stars and the words "Serving Our Country" in white; the background is a mottled green on heavy watercolour paper. She represents a "Gold Star Mother" saddened by the death of her son, a soldier fighting for the U.S. The artist has signed the back in pencil with the title, his name, and date with a copyright symbol, "'Serving our Country', Lee J. Wexler, 1977 c" and the lower right front with his name and date. There is a 4.75" tear extending from the left side down toward the center. The painting was originally attached at the top back to black paper and framed in black plastic.
