Abstract
-a: Chin Gee Hee came to Seattle in 1875 and erected the first new brick building here after the fire of 1889. In 1905 he returned to China, where this picture was taken. With him were Mrs. Manson Backus, Mrs. Thomas Burke, Chin's bodyguard, Judge Thomas Burke and Chin's son, Chin Lem. -b: Chin Quong: One of Seattle's earliest Chinese, came to the city in 1868 at the age of 11. He was one of the founders of the Wa Chong Co.
