Doll - Artifacts

Description
Large Japanese doll wearing red/orange flowered kimono with black brocade obi decorated with gold circles posed with head tilted and holding her sleeves in her hands. Hand painted face. Black hair, made of cotton threads, with large red/orange bow under bun at back of head. Pink silk flowers, silver flowers make up the floral decoration in hair. Mauve braided rop tied around bun. 4 dangling silver ornaments (two on each side). Furisode style silk outer kimono. Red/orange background with ivory five- petaled flowers with green foliage (screening method) some flowers with gold thread couching. Bottom drapes on ground and is padded at hemline. Lined with ivory silk. Under kimono is red/orange silk crepe. Black brocade with gold circles containing various symbols in gold, silver, and rust. Tied in middle with red/orange obijime. Pink shibori tucked into top of obi. Large ivory colored sash at bottom of obi. Exposed foot has ivory colored tabi. Standing on natural colored wood base.
