Bib - Artifacts

Description
The bib is 14" long, 15.25" wide, irregular diamond-shaped with a concave shape at the neck band, and rounded off at the bottom. The face material is gold silk satin with an embroidered garden scene. At the neck end is a 1.75" wide black fabric binding with pink/green stitching around the edges, and an embroidered pink/green floral pattern in the center. In the center of the bib are two ladies. The one on the right holds a green/red/black bowl with a small bunch of flowers and buds visible under the ajar lid. The other figure holds a long stem of lotus over her left shoulder, extending beyond her head and right shoulder. Behind them is a small section of fence with blue railings, red fence posts. In the lower foreground is a pond with lotus blossoms and a bird standing on a lily pad. In the background are two trees to the right and left. The one on the proper left has a green trunk and foliage. The one on the proper right has a grey trunk with blossoms of green and pink. The backing of the bib is of red cotton. Damage: Stains along upper left border, right corner, and at lower left corner of neckpiece and on backing. Two irregular spots at the lower proper left corner of the black neck binding, apparently insect damage.
