Spear Shaft Tapered wood shaft with cone-shaped butt. Spearhead end notched to accept spearhead, also cut to form shoulder, probably in order to allow heavy binding for securing head. Small hole (1/8") drilled through shaft below spearhead notch. Purpose unknown (possible anchor for head binding). Light colored wood with dark streaks.
