Description
Olive-grey glazed ceramic jar, base 1.375" in diameter widening to 2.75" diameter at 7/8" height, narrowing to 1/2" neck ar 2" height, then flaring to a mouth, 1.125" outer diameter, with a raised rim. The opening in the top is 1/4" in diameter. There are six small chipped spots inside and outside the foot of the jar. It appears that irregular bits of clay may have been chipped off at these spots after the jar had been glazed and fired. On one side of the jar an oval area about 1.5" x 3/4" is dull, the glaze having been worn away. On the neck and the under part of the rim, the glaze has been scraped away and underlying clay is exposed.
