Quiver - Artifacts

Description
Quiver is undercorated bamboo tube with two drilled holes in line at 4 3/4" from the top. The carrying cord, of twisted, jute-like fiber, is secured to the quiver by knots inside the holes. ARROWS: 1990.22.15B-15C-Approx. 17 3/4" long, unbarbed, tail split for folded leaf fletching two wings spilt secured with cotton (?) thread. 1990.22.15D THRU 15- Appox. 17 1/4'' long. Similar to 15B, 15C in all respects. 1990.22.15I THRU 15K-Similar to 15D throu 15H, except these barbed. 1990.22.15L, 15M - Approx. 15 3/4". Slit open, not split from end. Barbed. 1990.22.15N- Approx. 14 1.4". Similar to 151 thru 15K 1990.22.15O THRU 15S- Approx. 13". Diamond-shaped leaf fletching, held in split by dark fibrous material. Barbed. 1990.22.15T, 15U-Approx.12". Similar to 15I thru15K. 1990.22.15V-Approx. 14 3/4". No fletching. Barbed. Note: Collected in Laos, 1962-1964.
