A: Basket, 3 3/4" outside diameter, woven of natural and purple dyed bamboo strips. The bottom is folded under and laced to a mad-weave pattern base. B: Lid is also tube-shaped and fits down over the top of the basket. Has one end folded under and laced to a mad-weave piece that forms the closure. The exterior and interior patterns of A are identical. In B the interior is a conventional over/under weavae, whereas the exterior fetaures four squares, each of which encloses twin tri-chevron stripes. A vertical line separates each square. The carrying strap is a single band of fibrous material.
