White folding paper fan with 38 bamboo ribs, and a red and black lacquer bamboo frame. A thin nylon woven string is strung through the base of the handle, and is tied together at its ends. A broad pink stripe, with 5 white circles, has been painted on the front of the fan, outlined with gold ink. The back of the fan has 1-1/2 rows of black calligraphy written on the left side of the fan. The name "Yamashita" is stamped on the paper along the left handle of the frame.
