Description
Paper fan with black lacquered wooden handle Front: Printed scne of 2 Japanese ladies catching fireflies by the light of the moon. In the summer there is a firefly festival. One lady stands and holds a fan used for catching the firefly. the kneeling lady holds a tiny green wire cage for the firelight. Behind the ladies is bush clover and in the foreground are hibiscus. Back: Red mon of an M inside a diamond shape. "M. Furuya Co., 216 Second Ave., So., Seattle, Wash., U.S.A. Importers and Experoters of Japanese and American Merchandiseand Products with branches in Yokohama, Kobe, Vancouver, B.C., Portland, Tacoma and 2 branches in Seattle". Same information in Japanese characters. At bottom of handle is a gold string with red tassel. Imported from Japan and marked for advertising
