Flag - Artifacts

Description
Flag or pennant in the shape of a triangle, woven from 100% cotton with a blue background and white letters, "Wawona". The letters fill most of the flag and decrease in size as the triangular shape of the glag comes to a point. The material is slightly coarse, not tightly woven, and fairly translucent. The two long sides of the flag have been hemmed with two rows of stitches along the edge. A white 7/8" border of the same material as the flag has been sewn, again with a double stitch, along the short side of the flag. At each end of this border is a hole with a metal circular frame formed of two pieces of metal which fit together and have been pressed together with the flag material in between. In the lower area of the back of the white border are a yellow sticker with "Capitol Brand 100% Cotton/by Emberson Flag Mfg. Co./21 Hawthorne St. San Francisco" printed in black and the numbers "12 x 18" printed in black directly on the white border material. The word "Wawona" appears woven in reverse on the back side of the flag. The flag has three folds, generally evenly spaced along the lonf sides of the flag, and a fold in the lower left corner of the flag. Near the middle of the lower edge of the back side is a black spot on the blue material.
