Wallet - Artifacts

Wallet used by girls on festival occasions, i.e. Hina Matsuri A: Wallet which folds in 3, made of two sections sewn together with red silk thread (faggoting), exterior of red, white and gold brocade of flying cranes, edged with white binding, interior of plain red silk with small mirror inset. B: Strap, H: 2.5", W: .875", D: .75", folded around wallet with red silk cord tied through two holes in strap and through a small pouch, knotted with 2 red bead strung on; exterior of strap and pouch of the red, white and gold brocade and interior of red plain silk with white edging; pouch is folded at top and stuffed. C: Case, L: 3.5", W: .625", D: .175", exterior of the red, white and gold brocade and interior of plain red silk with white edging, knotted red silk cord tied to one upper corner ends in red and white tassel. D: Miniature hair ornament, L: 2.75", W: .75", silver-colored metal, elongated loop at one end, circular disk with embossed chrysanthemum design at other end, attached to disk are 6 chains ending in smaller disks in chrysanthemum shape.
