Excerpt from Harper's Weekly, 1890's entitled "Among the Chinese on the Pacific Coast--Drawn by T. Langguth", with white mat and brown wood frame. There are 6 illustrated figures of Chinese people engaged in traditional acts. Each scene has a title: "Soiled Linen for the Laundry" shows a man carrying a sack of laundry, "Peddler of household articles" shows the back view of a man with a shoulder rod carrying a package on one side and a full basket on the other, "Married woman" shows a woman in a short robe holding a large basket and standing under a lantern, "Vegetable peddlar" show the front view of a man with a shoulder rod supporting two large baskets, a smaller basket sits on the end of the pole, "Sugar cane render and chair mender" shows one man holding two long pieces of sugar cane and another man with two chairs hanging from the pole on his shoulder, "A lady" shows a woman dressed in traditional robes standing on a balcony holding a child by hand.
