Nightgown - Artifacts

Description
Commercially manufactured full-length, off-white cotton nightgown with long sleeves, ruffles and floral ribbon trim. Label in the neckline reads "Jonley 34" in blue script. Sqared neck is lines with ruffles and trimmed with ribbon, as is the front center opening which extends from the neck to the waist. The ribbon is off-white cotton printed with red flowrs, blue flowers, and green leaves. The front is gathered in the center at the neck and waist. The shoulders are also gathered. Long straight sleeves are trimmed with the ribbon on a ruffled cuff. Two belt ties (30" length) are attached, one on each side at the seam. The skirt is flared with additional triangular pieces of fabric addes to the bottom, one in the front and one in the back. The gown is splattered with various stains.
