Set of two square white cotton or bast fiber handkerchiefs with embroidered shadow work rose designs and drawn work linear designs. Three corners are decorated with a single shadow work bud with embroidered stem and eaves. The remaining corner is decorated with a larger, open shadow work rose, surrounded by embroidered stems, leaves and smaller flowers. Each side is decorated by a drawn work linear pattern and embroidered dots. The handkerchief is bordered with drawn work. A small red stain is in the corner with the open rose on 1993.80.11A. A series of brown stains (3 small and 1 large spot) are at one edge of 1993.80.11B.
