Acupuncture Models - Artifacts

Description
Set of 7 models made of painted clay in wood and glass shadow box frames: A: Two half head models in case. On left is the front model of a male head showing exposed throat with 5 blue dot acupuncture points and Chinese characters. On right is the front model of a male face with right half exposed as the skull; acupuncture points are marked with blue dots and Chinese characters. Above the models are horizontally written Chinese characters and in the lower right hand corner is the number 1. The shadow box frame is a wood box painted yellow inside, stained reddish brown on the sides, a plain wood back with a metal hanger and screw eyes; plexiglass in front. B: Two half side head models in case. On left is the side view of a male head facing to the right, with acupuncture points marked with blue dots and Chinese characters. On right is the side view of a male head facing to the left, with acupuncture points marked with blue dots and Chinese characters. Above the models are horizontally written Chinese characters and in the lower right hand corner is the number 2. The shadow box frame is a wood box painted yellow inside, stained reddish brown on the sides, a plain wood back with a metal hanger and screw eyes; plexiglass in front. C: Two upper back and head models in case. On left is the back view with left half exposing the skeleton, with acupuncture points marked with blue dots and Chinese characters. On right side is the back view with right arm bent and raised showing acupuncture points marked with blue dots and Chinese characters. This model has become unstuck from the case and is now wrapped in acid-free tissue. Above the models are horizontally written Chinese characters and in the lower right hand corner is the number 3. The shadow box frame is a wood box painted yellow inside, stained reddish brown on the sides, a plain wood back with a metal hanger and screw eyes; plexiglass in front; Chinese characters on a label glued to lower inside of vitrine. It is in fair condition and the right side of the frame can be pulled off and the plexi slid out. D: Three torso models in case. On left is the hip view with left half exposing the skeleton, with acupuncture points marked with blue dots and Chinese characters; a molded clenched hand lays on the right side buttocks. In the middle is the front view of the female torso with hand on right breast, acupuncture points marked with blue dots and Chinese characters. On right side is the male chest view with right side exposing the skeleton and showing acupuncture points marked with blue dots and Chinese characters. These models have become unstuck from the case and are now wrapped in acid-free tissue. Above the models are horizontally written Chinese characters, a Chinese printed label in the middle and in the lower right hand corner is the number 4. The shadow box frame is a wood box painted yellow inside, stained reddish brown on the sides, a plain wood back with a metal hanger and screw eyes; plexiglass in front; Chinese characters on a label glued to lower inside of vitrine.
