Description
Iron Chinese Vessel Cast bronze pot-like vessel with handle and wood & stone handle grip. The rim of the bowl is uneven. It slants higher in the back near the handle than in front. The vessel handle is supported underneath by an undecorated leg. The end of the handle is a piece of opaque, light colored jade stone. It is attached to a convex wooden insert which is attached to the rest of the handle. There is a dragon face built into the base of the handle. There are 3 dimensional side whiskers flowing out and attached to the outside of the bowl. The outside of the bowl is decorated with various flora and fauna motifs. In the center front part of the bowl, there is a mountain with a tree on top of it. This could be a reproduction of a traditional vessel. There is a stamp mark noting that the artifact was made in China.
