Sword - Artifacts

Description
A: SWORD Short sword with a steel blade and carved bone handle. A thin undecorated bone guard is held in place by a band of brass. The incised designs on the handle have been emphasized in places with black ink. At both ends of the handle is a 3 petal, 2 leaf flower. In the middle on one side is a man seated above hills. (There is damage on the flower on this side). On the other side is a bearded man wearing a hat seated on hills with mountains in the background. B: SPACER Loose oval shaped hollow sword spacer made of bone has a the same 3 petal, 2 leaf motif. Does not fit the sword very well. C: SCABBARD Scabbard is made by joining 3 pieces of bone together. 2 protruding knobs and a small hole near a knob. Design is incised and accented with black ink: 3 petal, 2 leaf flower at both ends. One side has 4 figures (2 bearded, 1 conical hat), the other side has 5 figures in robes (government officials?) There are various dark flaws in the bone which have been carved over. D: END CAP Oval shaped bone piece with one flat side and one convex side.
