Jacket - Artifacts

Description
U.S. Army issue short wool jacket A: The jacket is stitched from olive green wool and is fully lined with olive green cotton twill. There are two pleated pockets on the chest which are closed with a concealed button, the lapel is short and fairly wide, there are epaulets at the shoulders which are secured with dark olive green buttons, straps on the lower back of the jacket allow the bottom to be tightened via black metal fasteners, on the left shoulder are two patches: a black "A" on green background and a seargent's (?) patch (two chevrons atop a triangule with convex rounded bottom), on the right shoulder is the same patch, on the front right a brown and yellow diamond shaped patched with an eagle in a a circle has been stitched about the pocket. Dark olive green buttons line the front of the jacket and a tap at the bottom features a snap closure, as well. A cotton (?) tab at the left collar corresponds to a button under the right collar so that the jacket may be closed tightly with the collar folded upward for additional warmth. A cotton loop is sewn inside the neckline for hanging the jacket. Here there is also a white twill tab with "34R" printed in blue ink. "Fung - Cal" has been written in black felt pen and colored (scratched out) with a lighter color of black marking pen. There are interior pockets in the lining on both front sides. B-D: Round gold colored pin with raised letters "U.S." and two posts, and the round (pin fastener) backings. This pin is worn by all U.S. Army personnel. E-F: Round gold colored pin with raised image, a round object is topped with a feather or flame. The pin has two posts but only one pin fastener backing remains attached to the pin. G: Long narrow bar featuring three multicolored ribbons encased in a plastic wrapping. The ribbons are awards earned by the soldier: the first has a red center and is flaned by blue, green, yellow, orange, and white stripes; there is a hole in the center where a pin was at one time fastened; the second ribbon is brown, white, black, green, re, and blue striped and is further decorated with five bronze colored stars; the third ribbon has a red center and is flanked by red and white stripes. The ribbon bar is pinned above the soldier's left pocket via a long silver colored post in a clasp.
