Framed Calligraphy, rectangular Blue ink calligraphy on off-white habutai silk wrapped around a piece of posterboard and glued. Five Chinese characters running horizontally, ink has bled into the silk, creating a shadow effect. Inner red paper mat, two matboard spacers at each end. Wood frame painted black, two screweyes at top for hanging, speckled with white paint. Condition: Red mat has bled onto the silk from previous moisture. Original cardboard back, which was covered in soot, has been replaced with acid-free board.
