Kimono - Artifacts

Description
Informal Kimono Black silk (omeshi?-hand spun) kasuri (ikat) woven with red wavy stripes (yoroijima-drunkard's stripe) with medallions of flowers (warp ikat) crossed by blocks of color (weft ikat) in yellow, white, red, off-white, pink. White silk lining with rust colored lower chirimen crepe lining. Medium sleeves with white cotton lining, wrist opening with rust colored crepe lining, back of sleeve lined with red silk. Named embroidered inside with red thread: Isao Toninaka (male name - does this indicate this woman's style was worn by a man in the entertainment business).
