Hakama - Artifacts

Description
Hakama skirt-like pants Navy blue cotton plain weave; front has 6 large pleats folded toward the center with front 2 overlapping, back has 2 very deep pleats folded toward the center, both sides have faced openings extending at an angle 10" below waistband, front is sewn to back in the form of wide pant legs; waistband in front is folded over pleated edge and extends into very long ties on each side, stiffened waistband in back has sloping sides and two triangular flaps are fastened behind, 2 shorter ties extend out each side at back. Label sewed to inner back waistband "Trade Mark, no. 20, name, 140, Tokyo Japan, 100%", in Japanese is the company name, the term cotton and in handwritten Japanese is probably the name of the owner "Tarubayashi Chiyuki". Probably a boy's Kendo hakama.
