Description
Black Lacquer Dish Set One set of six bowls with lids/condiment dishes, six plates, six cups and saucers. A i - vi: Bowls, H: 2.25", Dia: 4.875", medium size bowls with silver colored rim and ring shaped foot on the bottom. B i - vi: Lids/condiment dishes, H: 1.5", Dia: 4.625", shallow bowl shape with silver colored rim. Ring shaped collar on the top has a silver colored rim. On one side is a diamond shape framing stylized initials "GT" (stands for Gudren Tanberg). i - iv have silver initials and v and vi shows some red lacquer on the initials. C i - vi: Plates, H: 1", Dia: 6.75", slightly bowl shaped medium plates have a silver rim and near one edge are the same stylized initials in a diamond frame, slightly reddish color. Shallow ring pedestal on the bottom. i and ii have some scratches in the middle of the plate. D i - vi: Demi- tasse cups, H: 1.75", Dia: 2.125", small bowl shaped cups with silver colored rim, small round upswept handles. Small ring pedestal on the bottom. On one side is the same stylized initials with diamond frame. E i - vi: Saucers, H: .75", Dia. 3.75", small saucer with rim a round perimeter and depression in the middle. Silver colored rim and stylized initials inside diamond. Shallow ring pedestal on bottom. F i - xii: Chop Sticks, L: 7.625", D: .25", six pairs of chop sticks of wood painted black with four flat sides tapering to a point at one end. Two of the set area brownish color and have possibly been washed.
