Description
Lion Head ,Shishi - Gashira, of wood paste - Neri - Mono, (Kneaded Object.) with bamboo spring. Red lacquered moulded wood paste head in four pieces painted black and gold eyebrows, silver and black eyes, wide nose with black and gold lines, gold teeth, black ears, two white feathers attached to forehead with a agreen piece of cotton cloth extending towrds back. Lower jaw is attached to the head with a wire. Bamboo strip has been bent, attached to the top of the head at the back and a white cord is tied from the bamboo to the lower jaw up through holes in the top of the head and atttached to the ears. When the bamboo is squeezed the jaw and ears drop. Right ear is chipped exposing the moulded wood paste.
