Tenugui Towel - Artifacts

Description
Tenugui Cloth Plain weave loosely woven white cotton cloth unfinished on both ends. Printed with grey chevrons with a red and black outline of theatre make-up design in center. Dark and light blue kanji written in various spots across the cloth (Kabuki actors names "Kojiro", "Sakurako", "Utauemon", Kichizaemon", "Kanzaboro", "Matsuzen", "Sansuke"; "Kabuki", "Sakuraroso" (name of building)). Possibly a souvenir cloth, sometimes used as a head band or to be waved while dancing; originally used as hand towel.
