Description
Model of a Bull Demon Festival Figure paraded at the Uwajimaya Festival, Bu-yare or Ushioni Carved wooden head on along stick painted black with black and gold cylindrical ears, black and gold horns which curve up behind the ears, two gold painted eyes which are knobs pro trudung from the head an open mouth painted red inside with gold lips and black lines indicating teeth. The nose is a gold painted ring through which a white and orange ribbon are twisted. The stick extends into a hole in the base and the whole neck is covered with red cloth in fron and black velvet in back. Two pieces of folded white paper (gohei) are glued to the side of the head and side of the head. The base is angular is painted black with three brown horizontal stripes, protruding from the back is a wooden tail painted brown and black. On the bottom is a brown and white sticker " Takumi, 200 Yen" , Kanji: "Tokyo Ginza 8th West"
