Straw Horses - Artifacts

Description
Two Small Straw Horses (Wara Uma) A: Bundles of sedge wrapped with straw. Along neck extends from a horizontal body and sedge is tied and knotted to form a mane and twisted to form two ears. The ends of the neck pieces form the open mouth. Four bundles form the legs extending from the body, and the tail is made from small twigs inserted into back of body. Purple and white twisted paper ring is tied to lower jaw, to form reins, and the ends are inserted through a paper on his back. Two paper strips, one red and one white, go over the back and are glued together underneath. The white strip is printed with a red kanji seal and on the inside is written: "Shimme From Jindaiji Temple" B: Bundles of sedge wrapped with straw.
