Description
Decorative Ball - Temari in Box with Typed Explaination. Soft core ball is wrapped with fine white cotton thread and the design is created by wrapping silk braided cord in the shape of diamonds on two sides in pink, brown, blue, orange, and yellow. four radiating diamond motifs fill the spaces between the large diamond shapes. There are two pink and two orange. Purple silk braided cord is tied through the top to act as a hanger. B: Cardboard box bottom covered with washi paper with white and beige chrysanthemum design. On the bottom is brown and white label with kanji and "Takumi Tokyo Ginza W. 8, 80 Yen" Written in pencil "Child's Ball" C: Cardboard Box lid covered with same paper. Brown and white label with black kanji "Kyodo Mingei-hin Seisaku, Fukuki Sakuhin" Organization to maintain village craft skills. Inside the box is type written explaination from one of Ms. Sealoff's students about origins of ball.
