One on left is in blue robe with butterfly motif, is dancing with fan in one hand and flower in other, the other one has green shawl, a hat with red peony and red flowing hair, she is playing a drum. Introduction "Exhibiiton of figures representing life in old and new Japan" Colored illustration of man pulling rickshaw in which is seated a woman in kimono, on next page. The book has short explainations of Japanese activities and historical figures. The back cover has color illustration of Mt. Fuji and chrysanthemums.
