Furoshiki - Artifacts

Description
A stencil-dyed FUROSHIKI with 4 corners in red and orange tie-dye KANOKO motif. Inside the diamond shaped center are 3 dolls of the Kyo Ningyo type pulling an orange cord wrapped around one wheel of a palace wagon called GOSHO GURUMA. The wagon is purple carrying a bouquet of purple, orange and white peonies; white, red, orange mums, a bough of plum with white, red, orange blossoms; narcissus in white with red centers, wysteria in red and white. The container of the flowers is made of brocade with 6 sided geometric design with yellow, red, purple and green flowers placed in each hexagon. The center background is bluish gray., Two sides are hemmed. It is soiled at the bottom There are dying flaws at upper right corner. The material appears to be synthetic fabric.
