Tenugui - Artifacts

Description
This tenugui is off the bolt lengthwise with the top and bottom edges unhemmed. The top left corner is a bit soiled. The design in the center of the piece is of two KAPPA (mythological water nymph creatures) sharing shelter from rain under a paper umbrella. Probably painted or stencil dyed. The rain is represented with indigo streaks to the left. The umbtrella is yellow with a gray top center portion. One KAPPA holds the pole of the umbrella and the other to the left looks over its shoulder out of the umbrella. The picture shows the left KAPPA's webbed feet. Both have pointed faces and SARA on their heads typical of KAPPA creaturees. The writing to the bottom right says " The rain of radioactivity"
