Tabi Socks - Artifacts

Description
Two Pairs of Tabi Socks A, B: Uppers are made of plain white cotton doubled and shaped so the big toe has a separate pocket, a seam up the front where the socks rises over the ankle, open at the back with 4 gold colored rounded metal tabs (the upper tab has two characters impressed on it) which fold under and pass through two rows of string threads on the other side of the back; the sole is made of a heavy white twill cotton on the bottom with a layer of white flannel cotton sewn to the sole on the inside. C, D: Identical to A and B except that they appear to have been worn more and have stains on the sole and uppers.
