A: Folding Fan bought in Japan Slats of sandalwood (wider shaped top and narrower rounded bottom with a pierced design) and held together with a metal pin at the bottom, outer slats are thicker wood and the design is different from the inner slats, light aqua silk cord tassel hangs from cord attached to ring of metal pin. B & C: Lidded sandalwood box, bottom (B) has recessed top and two wood fittings inside for fan, (C) lid is plain with yellow paper sticker with black kanji pasted to top Fan may not have been made in Japan (Filipino?)
