Obi jime tie - Artifacts

Description
Obi Jime Tie White, rust red and yellow silk threads woven together to create a flat, double braid with a zig-zag design ending tassels. The tie is created using the kumihimo braiding technique which weaves a narrow tube that is flattened and the threads at both ends are tied where the weaving stops creating a 1" fringe. The cord is tied around the obi and knotted in the front to hold the obi in place and serve as an accent.
