Kimono - Artifacts

Description
Man's Formal Black Silk Kimono Long body and short sleeves with square corners. Long straight collar extends half way down the body and is double layered, folded in half lengthwise and stitched in place. Around the neck is a reinforcement of self fabric hand stitched with black thread. The seams are not visible. Black fine plain weave silk with a hard finish is lined with indigo dyed polished cotton. Hand stitched. At the center back and on the back of each sleeve are a total of three mon, the Hara family crest, in the form of a large circle at the top overlapped with two smaller circles at the bottom encircled by a white ring and representing charcoal arranged in a brazier.
