Dress and Jacket - Artifacts

Blue and green tweed sleeveless dress and matching jacket A: Cheong sam H: 41.25", W: 19", short sleeveless dress with diagonal closing fasten on the right with snap fasteners and metal zipper extending to the hip. Stiffened stand up collar with rounded front. Close fitting with two sets of bust darts and front and back darts. Shaped waist, short slits on each side at the hip. Woolen tweed fabric woven from bright blue, moss green, and white threads with slubs of yellow and pink. Fully lined with aqua colored silk. Arm holes bound with blue biased tape. B: Matching jacket of same fabric, H: 21.5", W: 23", shaped body with diagonal bust darts, darts in front and back. Faced squarish neck line. Double breasted front with one row of self covered non -functional buttons on the right side and four satin loops on the right edge. Left side has four self covered buttons. In addition to the buttons the front flap is fastened with snap fasteners across the top down the side and across the bottom. Long shaped sleeves with elbow dart and narrow under arm gussets. Fully lined with aqua colored silk.
