Mortar and Pestle - Artifacts

Description
Wood mortar and pestle. A: Mortar formed from solid piece of lathed wood. Has stained groove running along lip. Another groove along bottom of cup. Cup stand is carved thinner and there is a staned groove around stem of stand. Wood flares out at bottom and there is a stained groove along edge of stand. Wood is lightly varnished on outside. B: Pestle formed by solid piece of lathed wood. With long handle slightly thicker in the middle and grooved line around it. End flares out to 1 3/4" diameter with rounded edges.
