Description
Fish Trap used for Ikebana Flower Arranging Long cylindrical shaped constructed of thin bamboo strips held at intervals with twined bamboo strips. At one end spokes have been bent inwards and fastened to close off the end of the cylinder. The other end narrows into net and then flairs out to create opening where fish would enter. The rim reinforced with wider strips which have been tied on with very fine bamboo. 7 inches back from rim is opening where bamboo strips are cut off. One edge of opening is depressed and has a three section facing which ends in long points so that fish cannot exit. The trap is reinforced at this point with thicker piece of bamboo and on the top side tied to this reinforcement is loop of bamboo for hanging. Bamboo has been lacquered brown on the outside.
