Water Scoop - Artifacts

Description
Hishaku Water Ladle for Chado Tea Ceremony Made of Bamboo, the bowl is made from wide piece of bamboo and cut so node forms the bottom, the handle is made from piece of bamboo that has the shiny outer side facing up. The wider end has been curved downwards and the edge has been rounded. A node creates a decorative accent near the middle of the handle. The narrower end of the handle has been carved into a sharp point. which has been pushed into a hole in side of the bowl and fastened with a peg. On the bottom of the handle is blue label with printing "Japan".
