Vase - Artifacts

Description
Brown metallic vase used for Ikebana flower arranging Case bronze? vase, egg-shaped with flared rim and foot, central horizontal decorative band molded with a meander patterned background and 4 raised flowers and leafy motifs, offset with two narrow horizontal ridges acting as a border, painted with a shiny mottled brown glaze. A needle kenzan flower holder with metal prongs and base is adhered to interior bottom. On the exterior bottom is pressed a seal with a compound Chinese character. Also scratched into the bottom surface is the donor's name, "Uno", which is additionally written in black felt tip pen and taped to the bottom on black vinyl.
