Metal fan-shaped vessel with a top used for Ikebana flower arranging A: Cast iron triangular fan shaped vessel, one rounded "pleated" side, one straight side and one straight side with a jog at the rim, sides curved down toward the bottom and have raised diamond shapes intersected by a horizontal line, black finish with green in the crevices of the rough background on the sides and bottom; curved bottom with four short legs. B: Cast iron folding-fan shaped lid, zig-zag upper edge incised vertical lines, spoke shapes represent a partially open folding fan, black finish with two cherry blossom shapes cut out and three smaller cherry blossom shapes with raised outlines, hole pierced through the handle of the fan shape.
