The bulging sides are woven with stakes and four sets of twined weavers in an open weave with supplementary weavers which wrap around the stakes and weavers in columns to create an overall repeating V-shape design. Another twined band similar to the other border bands finishes the basket just under the rim. The rim flattens out and extends inward and is braided from the stakes.
