Rectangular table style base used for Ikebana flower arranging. Dark brown varnished top with 1" wood mitred border, narrow bamboo rods beneath top surface is sandwiched with another wood layer. The wood sides covered with bamboo rods have two narrow rectangular openings edged with brown lacquered wood and is raised above the ground, the ends have bamboo rod covering on rectangular wood with a large rectangular opening edged with brown lacquered wood; wood trimming around all lowered edges to frame the bamboo rods. On bottom are two cross pieces to support the top of the table; on one cross piece the donor's name "Uno" is scratched into the surface.
