Rectangular table style dai base, dark wood with shell inlay, with raised top edge, used for Ikebana flower arranging. Front and sides have mother-of-pearl inlay in floral design. The legs are separate pieces, joined with a meitered joint. They are spider leg style, curving inward. The lower edge is carved in a decorative manner. Several of the flower designs have lost portions of the shell inlay.
