Dai Bases - Artifacts

Description
Two rectangular wood bases with curled edges used as bases for Ikebana flower arranging. A. H: 3.5"; W: 22"; D: 11.5". Large bentwood base made of 3/8-inch thick wood rectangle which has been curved under on the ends to form continuous legs. Stained dark brown and varnished on top. Some of the varnish has deteriorated in places, perhaps due to water damage. On the bottom, the owner's name is in two places; on adhesive tape, written in blue ink "P.A. Uno/PA32214" and scratched into the wood, "Uno". B. H: 3.25"; W: 14.5"; D: 8.75" Small bentwood base made of 3/8-inch thick wood rectangle which has been curved under on the ends to form continuous legs. Stained dark brown and varnished on top. Some of the varnish has been scratched. On the bottom the donor's name, "Uno" has been scratched into the wood.
