The base is made from a rectangular piece of wood with rounded ends that are glued to C-shaped turned wood legs. Stained dark brown with a matte finish varnish. Worn on the underside of the legs. On the bottom, a gold outline of Mt. Fuji with Hiragana characters which read, "Fuji" and a seal which reads "Jirushi" [Fuji mark]. Beneath the mountain shape is the number 16 and the donor's name, "Uno", is scratched into the wood. B. Worn on the underside of the legs and there are two splits in the wood. On the bottom, a gold outline of Mt. Fuji with Hiragana characters which read, "Fuji" and a seal which reads "Jirushi" [Fuji mark]. Beneath the mountain shape is the number 12 and the donor's name, "Uno", is scratched into the wood. In one corner, "Made in Japan", is engraved in gold.
