Dai Base - Artifacts

Description
Bamboo dai base used for Ikebana flower arranging. Rectangular base is made of eighteen bamboo rods tied together into a flat rectangle with with reed and wire which appears to go through holes pierced in the bamboo. Rods are off-set into two groups of nine rods which are off-set approximately nine inches apart. Color ranges from light to dark brown. On the bottom the donor's name "Uno" is written in black ink in two places.
