Description
Half of a bivalve shell used for Ikebana flower arrangements featuring water scenes. Large half shell with a rough knobbly surface on the exterior with yellow staining on three-quarters of the surface and some pink staining in spots. The inside has a shiny "mother-of-pearl" finish with a yellow, blue, and pink reflective surface. Four holes pierce one edge of the shell creating knobs on the outer surface. Around the edge of the shallow part of the shell is a reddish color.
